What is Animal Assisted Therapy?
Animal-assisted therapy is a therapeutic approach that uses the comfort and companionship of animals to support emotional, mental, and physical well-being.

A little bit of what we do:

My journey into animal-assisted therapy began during my years working in various zoos. I quickly noticed that many visitors weren’t just interested in learning about the animals—they were drawn back repeatedly for the comforting interactions and the unique bond they felt when cuddling or simply being around them. It became clear to me how deeply animals can impact our emotional well-being, often reaching people in ways that go beyond traditional learning or recreation. This sparked a passion in me to explore how these bonds could support mental health and emotional healing.

To bring this vision to life, I became a qualified counselor and pursued specialized training, eventually earning registration under the BSY Group for animal-assisted therapy. This qualification allows me to integrate animals into therapeutic settings, providing a safe and compassionate space where clients can benefit from the grounding, non-judgmental presence that animals bring. For me, animal-assisted therapy is so important because it harnesses the profound healing power of animals to support individuals on their path to greater emotional well-being and resilience.
